Thanks for the info.
Had a look into it and looks like quite an old piece of kit and could get a Tom Tom one from ebay for cheaper. |

Is 'old' bad then? If so, i'm finished even though I still work pretty well.

Indeed, the Emtac is one of the most solid and reliable receivers you can get.
DeLorme are selling their Blue Logger receiver for USD 150...including the street atlas software I think _________________ Lutz

Tbh, what features is there for a BT GPS receiver to have? If it can connect via BT and track your position what more do you want it to do ;) _________________ TomTom 6 - SPV M5000 and WM6

I got concerns about battery life and performance. I've read about certain batteries failing very early etc or are they just the occasional bad eggs? |

In most cases it is not the battery failing. It's the GPS reception circuitry that is still a little immature.
Batteries last at least 500 cycles which roughly translates into two years usage. I think that's fair. _________________ Lutz

What do you guys think of the GlobalSat BT308, I know it got a good review on the site. But wanted to know opinions from people using this on a regular basis for a while. |
