The PocketGPSWorld.com team invite you to Basingstoke

Following on from the great success of the last GPS event at the Celtic Manor in Wales, PocketGPSWorld.com are now busily organising the biggest and most exciting meet for GPS enthusiasts and the industry at large - and thanks to the sponsors that collectively make up the cream of our industry ITS FREE!

We received some great feedback from the last event both from our users and the GPS companies. We have taken the many requests and suggestions onboard.

This time the PocketGPSWorld.com GPS Event will be taking place in Basingstoke, Hampshire, home of the Automobile Association. Why have we chosen Basingstoke? Alongside some of the major players in satellite navigation industry, the AA have generously offered to be a premium sponsor of the event.

Our Premium Sponsors:
TomTom
AA
Garmin
Destinator Europe

Mapping Sponsor:
Tele Atlas

Supporting Sponsors:

GlobalSat, Geosat, Memory-Map, Holux, Navman, Drive Smart

We will also have a number of other Manufacturers, Suppliers, and Retailers exhibiting.

We are expecting an excellent international turnout of GPS Industry experts. The global sat nav industry has shown huge enthusiasm for the event and will be welcoming representatives from all over the World - we've just heard that a delegation from the Far East may be flying in and one from the US has just confirmed!

With excellent links for all modes of transport we feel it is an ideal location. Accordingly, we have selected the Apollo Hotel as the venue and have secured the Hampshire Suite and adjoining rooms for our sole use.

Centre stage will be the PocketGPSWorld.com car, a motorbike and a pushbike forming our exhibit. This will show how the GPS equipment is used in our own vehicles and the lengths we go to in bringing these reviews to our users. We will also be having a workshop area where you can bring your own equipment and we will upload points of interest (POIs) or help with configuration issues.

The venue can accommodate well over 500 GPS enthusiasts throughout the day. We anticipate having a complete range of knowledge levels from absolute beginners to advanced GPS users.

In the run up to Christmas, and for the first time ever, we are encouraging sales to visitors during the event. This was one of the main requests we received from the feedback from our last event in Wales.

The PocketGPSWorld.com Event is a “Face-to-Face” forum allowing you to touch and feel the equipment as well as chatting to industry specialists.
