A big thank you to last months sponsor Navman for donating the prizes for the August PocketGPSWorld.com Members Competition.
The answer to the August 2006 competition sponsored by Navman was 3: The USA.
Currently the 911 services need to identify the location of a call to the emergency service. For fixed lines this is not an issue, but for mobile phones the introduction of a GPS chip allows the devices to be pinpointed. This does of course raise questions of privacy, but at the same time it opens up a new world for Location Based Services.
We had 440 entries and have selected just 1 winner from the correct entries. Are you the winner? To claim your prize please pm mysk with your address details so that he can send your prize to you.
