pocketgpsworld.com The TomTom ONE arrived by surprise late last year and caught everyone on the hop. With a SiRFStarIII GPS Chipset, headphone socket and new slim format design it has already proved to be a popular choice selling very strongly in the few weeks between launch and Christmas.

We have now completed our review of the ONE and as expected, the SiRFStarIII chipset makes a world of difference to the performance and renders an external antenna almost obsolete for those of you who needed them previously.

The only sacrifices of note over the GO 300 are a smaller capacity battery and smaller speaker, otherwise the slimmer form factor and better reception make this a sure fire winner retaining as it does the v5 navigation engine of its elder brothers.
