New Garmin GPS receiverJanuary 11 2006: Garmin UK announce the updated GPSMAP 60Cx and the GPSMAP CSx handheld GPS receivers.

The original Garmin GPSMAP 60C GPS receivers are one of the most popular Garmin outdoor GPS devices. These have been given a make-over and they now sport the latest SiRFStarIII GPS chipset, and also have a microSD memory expansion slot. The GPS comes with a 64Mb microSD card.

The SiRFStarIII GPS chipset is renound for its ability to obtain and retain an accurate pinpoint position even in the most adverse reception conditions such as in dense woodland and in inner citties surrounded by sky-scrapers.

The microSD allows you to download different MapSource map sets from Marine, Street Routing, or Topographical data.

The GPSMAP 60CSx also includes an electronic compas, and a barometric altimeter.
