TomTom ONE Launched in UK

TomTom have today announced the UK launch of TomTom ONE, the all new portable navigation unit that runs TomTom Navigator.
The important features to note in the TomTom ONE's specification are the SiRFStarIII chipset and the lack of any interface connections to the cradle. This means items like power and external antenna would need to be connected manually direct to the unit although SiRFStarIII will greatly reduce the situations where an external antenna is required..
With a launch price of £279.00 this makes the TomTom ONE a very attractive proposition as in all other respects it is identical to the other models in the TomTom GO range but with the much improved SiRFIII chipset.
Specifications:
CPU: 380 MHz
3.5 inch, 320 x 240 full colour TFT touch screen
Weight: 260 gram
32 MB RAM
Bluetooth data connectivity for PLUS services
USB to connect to a PC for updates
Internal rechargeable Lithium Ion battery (up to 2.5 hours)
Integrated GPS receiver based on SiRF Star III with 20 Channel All-in-view tracking
We have had a ONE review unit for some weeks now and will publish our detailed findings in the next few days.
