pocketgpsworld.com Every once on a while there are news releases crawling through our spam filters that are just amazing and awe inspiring. Like this one from Pharos:
Pharos was recently awarded U.S. Patent No. 6,909,907covering an integrated connection assembly for a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a personal digital assistance device (PDA) or cellular phone. Pharos' navigation software and hardware are considered are [sic] prime examples of leading applications/devices developed over recent years that can be leveraged now in the utilization of Windows Mobile devices.
In Pharos' defense (defence) it is necessary to mention that the patent was applied for in November 2000, and was just being granted in June 2005. But the fact that it was granted at all is remarkable... Will there be any consequences for the market of combined devices?
