TomTom Moon? Nope but NASA has plans for lunar nav

With NASA's ambitious $30bn plan to land humans on the Moon once again looking like a real possibility they have been investigating how best to navigate once we get there.
Previously astronauts used celestial navigation methods using stars as fixed points to triangulate their location in space. But for astronauts on the Moon a much simpler method is required. And GPS looks like it could work just as well for them as it does for us.
The only issue is that our GPS network is 250,000 miles away, and so a team of scientists and engineers are working on a lunar GPS receiver which will extend GPS service to the Moon.
