Waze Navigation App Coming to FordSync 3 Dashboards

Ford drivers with the FordSync 3 infotainment system (2016 and onwards) will soon be able to use the Waze navigation app through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto in their car. The Google-owned app uses crowd-sourced data for reporting congestion and accidents.
iPhone support will be coming soon via an over-the-air update and Android support will be added later in the year.
"At launch in the coming weeks, any 2018 model year Ford vehicle equipped with SYNC 3 version 3.0 or greater will be able to run Waze on its touch screen. Other SYNC 3-enabled Ford vehicles can receive an over-the-air update or an update via USB to enable Waze functionality."
