Volvo Chooses TomTom HD Mapping for Self-Driving Cars

TomTom have announced that Volvo will be using their mapping for their autonomous car system "Drive Me". The Drive Me system will be tested on public roads in Sweden throughout 2017 and make use of the HD mapping data provided by TomTom.
Volvo’s research project into autonomous driving will involve real drivers integrating autonomous driving into their daily lives on public roads. The first group of drivers will be recruited in Gothenburg, Sweden, with further pilot schemes organised in London and China.
