More news from TomTom with the announcement today that they have signed a multi-year deal with Acer Inc.
The deal will see their Android application AcerNAV use TomTom's NavKit navigation engine. The app will be free to owners of Acer's Liquid range of smartphones. AcerNAV allows users access to on-board maps, no roaming fees, and access to download free TomTom map updates fro Europe and certain Asian countries.
AcerNAV will include route planning, 2D and 3D mapping and, thanks to another partnership with TripAdvisor, a database of hotel and restaurant reviews.
