Amidst a recent spate of injuries, a leading sports scientist has offered an innovative solution to the current injury crisis faced by British football players, suggesting GPS technology should be used in games and matches.

According to Dr. Craig Duncan, a large number of sports injuries could be prevented if players were monitored by GPS devices.

These would be used to monitor how intensively players were performing during matches, allowing coaches to rest and substitute members of the team at opportune times.

Duncan, who is the Head of Human Performance for Sydney FC, boasted of the positive results which GPS monitoring could have in the sports world - using injury figures from his own club as evidence.
