This is something we've posted every Christmas since we started. It's a little bit of festive fun for the youngsters and a perfect for PocketGPSWorld readers.

As you would imagine, Father Christmas relies on technology to assist him in planning the optimum route to deliver his presents. And it's quite a route, one that takes in more than 500 Cities plus countless towns and villages and covers more than 200,000 miles.

Thanks to a web-site run by NORAD we can now monitor Santa's progress live online and, new for this year, via Android and iOS smartphone apps.

Another great Santa Tracker is provided by the guys over at Planefinder.net. Using their web app you can follow Santa's 'flight' live. If you have the Planefinder app (Android and iOS) you can track him by following flight no. S4NTA.

For those of you doing some last minute shopping, good luck in the crowds and from all of us here at PocketGPSWorld, may we wish you a Merry Christmas. Don't forget the competition runs until midday tomorrow so if you've recently subscribed, be sure to enter and we will, as always be here to answer questions in the forums and on the support desk throughout the holiday period.
