pocketgpsworld.comTelmap are a company known for navigation on mobile phones, in particular the Blackberry devices. Yesterday they announced that their sat-nav and LBS applications will be available for the new MID devices.

MID devices are internet computers sized between a PDA and a netbook. They are powered by an Intel Atom processor and can run Windows or Linux operating systems. The MID device is great for surfing the web and communications typically they have multiple technology solutions to connect to the internet: WiFi, 3G, GPRS etc. The drawback is that they are a little large to carry in your pocket.

I will be visiting Telmap at Mobile World Congress next week and will try and get a video demo of the MID Navigation system working.
