TeleNav Launch Turn By Turn Nav for Android Phones in US

 Yesterday TeleNav announced the launch of their GPS Navigator application for T-Mobile''s G1 Google Android handset. This is the first turn by turn navigation application to be offered on the Android platform and leaves Apple''s iPhone looking rather silly with Apple''s bizarre blocking of such applications on their platform.
TeleNav's solution is an off-board solution with maps being downloaded to the device as required and features traffic alerts, internet enables searching , fuel prices, weather and even restaurant reviews.
It will be made available as a 30-day trial direct from TeleNav''s web site beginning 24th February and users can continue to use the application after the trial period for $9.99 per month.
