Vehicle Tracking and Fleet Management have always been important but, for safety reasons, not possible for certain vehicles such as petrol tankers. However, Navman Wireless's Qube Vehicle Tracking device has recently been declared 'suitable for installation in vehicles transporting hazardous materials or operating in “potentially explosive atmospheres”'. VOSA have always recommended that the petro-chemical industry encorporate vehicle tracking systems but, until now, no safe systems have been available in the UK.
