Navteq LBSOne company harnessing the current Location Base Services (LBS)phenomenon is mapping company Navteq. Continuing their series of Navteq Global LBS Challenges (which PocketGPSWorld.com have been proud to be associated with), they have announced their Americas grand prize winner and three runners-up at an awards ceremony at the CTIA Wireless 2008 Show in Las Vegas.

The LBS Challenge is a developer program created to encourage developers to build new location based services that work with mobile and wireless devices using both dynamic positioning technology and Navteq maps.

None of the entrants traded before the competition.
