TCS LBSTeleCommunication Systems(TCS), bill themselves as "The unknown Goliath behind SMS and Location-Based Services". (If you don't know what LBS is, click here.) These are the guys resposible for the delivery of over a quarter of the 300 billion text messages sent across the United States last year.

They have made several LBS announcements at the CTIA 2008 Wireless Show which include several new services and solutions to support wireless operators and carriers including significant upgrades to its WAP Traffic applications. This will allows carriers to provide their customers with custom map views, easier navigation, expanded metro access and broad browser support. Two of the largest wireless operators in North America have deployed these enhanced applications on their networks.

They have also enhanced their Short Message Service Center solution to enable wireless operators to provide new services to their subscribers by using location-based messaging.
