News: European Galileo Satellite Service Is Currently Down

pocketgpsworld.com
Europe's Galileo satellite navigation system is down due to technical issues with their ground infrastructure. The service was 'degraded' in the early hours of July 11th and has been fully unavailable since the early hours of July 12th when a NAGU (Notice Advisory to Galileo Users) was issued that simply states "UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, USERS EXPERIENCE A SERVICE OUTAGE. THE SIGNALS ARE NOT TO BE USED".

The emergency service for locating people in distress (SAR) is still operational although there is no estimate as to when the service will be fully operational again.
