Speed cameras tend to get a bad press, but it may come as a surprise to some that a large percentage of the population support their use.

Take for instance the recent case of someone liking them so much that they went to the trouble of erecting a fake one - a yellow camera atop a yellow pole - on the A458 road through Cressage, a village in Shropshire.
