News: Two more satellites added to Galileo's operational fleet

pocketgpsworld.com
Two of the four Galileo satellite launched last November have now been formally added to the network.

After a launch new satellites enter a lengthy period of testing and validation to confirm they are fully operational, their clocks are accurate and their navigation signals pass quality testing. The European GNSS Agency (GSA) and the European GNSS Service Centre (GSC) has now announced the completion of the in-orbit testing (IOT).

As these two satellites have passed initial tests they are now available operational service. The two other satellites are expected to pass their testing soon.
