ALK Technologies Limited, the industry’s leading developer of routing, mileage and mapping software, today announced that its CoPilot Live | Pocket PC 4 GPS navigation system has become the first product to be HP Invent logo certified on new Pocket PC 2003 iPAQs. The certification ensures hardware and software compatibility with various models of HP’s Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC operating system, while also reaffirming the quality and reliability of CoPilot® products.

To earn this distinction, the award-winning CoPilot Live | Pocket PC GPS navigation system passed a stringent set of independent and best practice testing procedures performed by Ajilon Consulting Labs. In late 2002, Ajilon Consulting Labs, a division of IT service firm Ajilon Consulting, was named the exclusive software testing facility for the HP Certified testing program.

To gain certification, hardware and software developers must submit their devices to Ajilon Consulting Lab's Nashua, New Hampshire facility, where they are rigorously evaluated to determine usability with the HP iPAQ Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC operating systems. CoPilot Pocket PC became the first product to hold HP Invent status.

The HP Invent certification covers CoPilot Live | Pocket PC 4 use in North America and Europe. In addition to this honor, the certification authorizes ALK Technologies to use the HP Invent logo on all CoPilot promotional material, including advertising, Web pages, collateral and product packaging.
