News: Coca Cola Accused of Illegal Map-Making in China

pocketgpsworld.com
Coca Cola are currently co-operating with the Chinese government over allegations of misuse of their GPS Systems. Chinese law is very strict over the control of map-making, treating it as an attempt to uncover state secrets. Coca Cola's GPS-based logistics are under scrutiny after they allegedly mapped parts of the Yunnan Province.

With such strict controls over who can and cannot be involved in cartography you have to wonder just how OpenStreetMap have got such good coverage of the country!
