TomTom iPhone is NOT iOS4 compatible - yet
 Why is the $64,000 question but those avid iPhone owners who eagerly downloaded and updated to iOS4 yesterday will have quickly discovered that TomToms app is not iOS4 ready. So no multitasking but worse still, it doesn't work at all under iOS4.
Quite why TomTom have been so tardy in getting an update to fix compatibility we can only speculate about. iOS4 has been seeded to developers through various betas for some months now, precisely to avoid issues such as this.
Whereas many other navigation apps are working fine under iOS4, albeit without the much vaunted multitasking features, to have an app that does not function and crashes when a route is calculated is very poor indeed.
So for those of you who need access to TomTom on your iPhone the advise id to hold off updating if you haven't done so already. For those of you that have updated already, TomTom have promised an update with full iOS4 support "will be submitted to Apple for review after the 21 June release of iOS 4."
