News: FBI Helped Decrypt GPS from Mumbai Terrorist Attack

pocketgpsworld.comThe Times of India has reported that in an otherwise very tech-savvy country, India's forensic labs do not have the technical expertise to analyze crucial GPS evidence - evidence collected from five GPS phones that were used by the terrorists during the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai.

Attempting to prove Pakistani complicity in the 26/11 attack, the Indian police sent the handsets to Mumbai's Forensic Sciences Laboratory, but they were returned as they lacked the software to test them.

The handsets were then sent to the United States FBI to analyse the sailing route taken from Karachi to Mumbai.
