News: Wokingham May Retire Speed Cameras

pocketgpsworld.comThe Wokingham Times has reported that Wokingham Borough Council will not be contributing the full £220,000 to the Thames Valley Safer Roads Partnership this year.

It is also possible that they may follow the decision by Swindon last October and pull out of the speed camera scheme altogether.

The Times add that if Wokingham council does stop working with the partnership, 37 fixed speed cameras would remain in place, but would not be operational.
