Being able to see the screen of your satnav in bright sunlight is a common issue (if we had some sun that is!). Shade the display from sunlight and the screen of your satnav will be much easier to view. Already there have been a number of attempts at solving this issue, StomP with their cloth and velcro visor and Drumma with their vacumn formed custom solutions. Whilst Drumma's visors worked superbly they were custom designed for individual models. High development and production costs meant a high end price and as a result sales were poor. Drumma have confirmed they will not be continuing to develop new models.

ZunZun, a Dutch company with a background in card design have approached the problem from a wholly different perspective. Their solution is naturally card based and almost universal. The pre-cut visor has fold marks printed on it that cater for a huge range of the most popular satnav units available and the black card is sturdy and well designed. The beauty of this solution is its simplicity, it is low cost, fits into a standard envelope for posting and using the guide on ZunZun's website can be foldeed to fit your chosen satnav in a few minutes at most. A single elastic band (supplied) secures the folded visor to your device.

We've received half a dozen samples to test and although sun has been somewhat absent this year we'll do our best and post our findings. I've folded mine and it's attached very neatly to a GO 520 and looks far better than you would expect. Being card it could also be easily branded for give-aways (something we at PocketGPSWorld.com towers may have to take a close look at!). In the meantime, click here to discuss...
