Update to the Cyclops database question that I raised. Thanks to a user on the Garmin user forum (Hirvitie) the behaviour has changed. Instead of the frequent notifications the update icons now seemingly show only Garmin updates.
The good news is that the Cyclops speed camera updates for Europe are still available. Go to 'Tools and Content', then to the 'Purchased' tab which should bring up a "Garmin Subscription Cyclops - Europe box with a cloud icon. Click the cloud icon and it will download and install Cyclops updates.
Check it has worked by going to Settings, Device, About, Extras and Speed Cameras and the dates should be within a few days of the current date.
I have just checked for updates in Garmin Express and noticed that a Cyclops update is being advised.
Perhaps "customer feedback" made them change them change their mind?
Release notes state the following:
This version includes the following changes:
- We improved the progress bar when performing syncs.
- For our Garmin Connect users, we’ve added the ability to remove items that exist in your Garmin Connect queue within the ‘View Details’ page of Garmin Express. This will prevent Express from syncing these specific items.
- Resolved a crash on Windows 10 for users who were manually searching for music when loading into the Music page.
- Fixed an issue that was preventing users from being able to install Garmin Express.
- Fixed an error if users would try and change the Device Nickname in Garmin Express.
Previous Version:
6.19.4
Addressed an issue causing map update failures that users could encounter during the download process. _________________ DriveLuxe 51 LMT D - Firmware 6.80
