Hmm. I haven't tried 'a lot of time'. And swear words too? All together at once?

When did you last clean the car? Or rather, how long prior to launching the sd card did you clean the car? You sound to me like the sort of person who cleans his car often, maybe even once a month.

Seems like a lot of fuss to me.

Get someone else to do it, and you can just hover. Shocked

Respeck! Now that demonstrates why you are at the top of the evolution tree and I'm not.

I DON'T BELIEVE THIS !!!!!

When we got in the van this morning, Vera started looking round for the missing micro SD card. So to show her how difficult finding it is, I took out another in its full size adapter, pulled it out and said This is what we're looking for. And dropped it. The van now is highly valuable, having three micro SD cards concealed somewhere about its person. Hunting again, I found a hairclip (not one of mine, I don't have the hair for it), three fisherman's friends and two extra strong mints, but not a sign of those pesky micro SD cards.

Something similar happened to me last summer trying to replace the card in my dashcam after copying a file I wanted to keep, onto my PC.
Looked all over, under the seats, between the seats, under the carpet, in the door pockets, the turn-ups of my trousers, in my hair, behind the collar of my jacket and shirt. Even used a torch like they do in those detective series. Called the wife to search as well hoping a second pair of eyes would help.
No sign of the pesky thing. Gave up as a lost cause.
A few days later whilst getting into the car, by complete fluke saw something familiar on the tarmac of the drive. It was the SD card!
Either dropped from my clothes, shoes, etc, or I think more likely (after all that searching) it had flown straight out of the open widow!!
I have learnt my lesson. I now stick a narrow piece of insulation tape on the outer edge of the SD card so I have something to hold onto as I push it in! Despite the rainy days etc, after a quick rubdown and wipe, it was still working and the remaining files were undamaged.

. Very Happy

Yes, I do put insulation tape over my SD card whn installed. Otherwise, if you accidentally touch it, it can easily spit the thing out (or at least eject it to the slot-mouth) leaving you without the map or whatever is on the SD card.
