The 4100 IS a bluetooth receiver.
I believe that carphonewarehouse are selling off their stock of the 4400 (4100 rx and ver 1 EU maps) for £49 while stocks last.

Either way £50 is worth it, the 4100 would normally cost you upwards of £150 and it's a good receiver Thumbs Up

How old are the maps in v1 - has TomTom Navigator v2 got better mapping, for example?

not sure how old the maps are, take a look at the clearance bargins on the www.carphonewarehouse.co.uk home page.

i intend using the receiver with tomtom 3 maps.

Buy now, worry later. If you don't like it, sell it. You'll get more than you paid for it.

And of course... order rejected at 11:22 am today-

Unfortunately the item you ordered is out of stock and now discontinued.

Naturally I am not happy after reading this thread

I see the 3400 Navman jacket is on offer. Whats the main difference of that to the 3450 jacket?

The 3450 is an enhanced version of the 3400 in particular the reception is better. I got rid of my 3400 a while ago and use the 4410. I'm really pleased with the 4410, shame about the software that comes with it.
I'm hoping that V3 of smarst matches the quality of the hardware, but based on previous experience i have my doubts.
