Just one speed camera catches a quarter of all speeders who are flashed by a fixed camera in Norfolk.

The camera in question, one of 23 in the county, is on the A1067 Fakenham Road at Taverham and monitors a 30mph stretch in both directions.

It has issued speeding drivers with over 5,000 tickets since April this year including one hapless motorist who was caught speeding three times in five days - he subsequently lost his licence for six months, was fined £200 and ordered to pay a £30 surcharge.
