Third party camera support ?

Stupid question really Smile

If they are anything like the 2016 Garmin range then don't get too excited and stick with what you've got if it's working.

1st September sounds a bit too early to have the 975 maps. Or will they just be announced, then available at Christmas after the 975 maps are out?

Still, at any rate it will let them declare all the current top of the range stuff "Legacy" and not entitled to any more "lifetime" maps. Rolling Eyes

I don't know, David. I'm just so disheartened by the direction TomTom have adopted that I naturally fear the worst all the time.

Yup, already posted my sarcastic but heart-felt comment there:-

We can hardly wait....not!
I still think the company should be spending their shareholders money or getting their current products to work properly, not waste money on silly stuff which WILL fail! Sad

Had a very close look at the 620 and I'm really struggling to see why I'd upgrade from the 610.

Wifi - interesting but connecting periodically to my PC and updating maps and firmware isn't a problem.

Integration to Siri etc - no interest

Hands free calling and text messages - no interest

New mount - the current one is excellent

Faster processor - this might be a big plus point. The 610 is ok but the re-routing while you're on the move can be a tad slow - sometimes I miss a junction as the machine is still calculating. Also when starting a journey I have to set a destination, wait for the route to calculated, wait for traffic to downloaded, wait for the new route and then set off - this can take 30-60 seconds. Not a biggy but something faster would be appreciated.

Would I upgrade to get faster routing? Perhaps.

Battery life is 1hr rather than 2 - not a big deal but I don't always plug in the device.

Higher res screen would have been great. Still 800 x 480 pixels. This is a big miss. Bigger processor should hopefully have made a high def screen possible. Disappointing.
Non-reflective coating would have been great.

On balance, I'll stick with the 610 unless there's a killer reason I haven't read about.

still cannot see any reason to "upgrade" from my trusty GO750 which is on a third battery.

Got a GO540 as a backup.

It is the lack of third party POIs that is the deal breaker

6200 looks interesting. Does connection with WiFi remove the problems with MyDrive? But may introduce other problems? Is the built in SIM still 2G, restarts the perpetual debate about how long 2G will remain functional.

Every time a new model comes out I compare it to the newer unit and decide not to upgrade.

My old TT One v1 is quick - even with all the POIs displayed.
To update I just pop the card out, pop it in the computer and in a minute it's done.
No problem with PGPSW camera database.
Twice the battery life of the 620.

Anyone know what the faster processor in the 620 is? The specs always seem to leave that detail out.

Not that I can find. You'd think they'd make a big deal about it which leads me to conclude it's faster but not much.

"Quad-core A7@1.3GHz, 512MB LPDDR3 @519MHz so have nearly double the processing power of the previous devices."

From what I have read with people who have tested a unit they are very fast

As it should be

The new devices are definitely faster. Not sure if it's twice as fast however it's noticeable, especially on route planning.
