On my current XL Live device I have two directories that are very similar. One is called Western_Europe and the other Western and Central_Europe _ 2GB. These two directories seem to have many of the same files in each. Does anyone know if both of these are required. This does seem to create a problem with running out of space when I upgrade to the latest map. Many thanks

These are 2 totally separate map FOLDERS covering different countries.
Can you open then copy/paste the contects of the 2 *****.pna files (one in each map folder) so we can see which is newer?

Only the Western_Europe directory has a .pna file in it. The contents of that file read:
ID=Western_Europe.pna
801299332955
build=6805
id=1974589

Both directories have all the same POI files for my chosen POIs and for the PGPSW camera files, both bmp and ov2 files. Am I right in thinking I can delete all the POI files from the directory that does NOT contain the Western_Europe.pna file

Which of the two maps are you using to navigate with?

I don't remember the sequence but tapping the Satellite meter bars in the main screen afew times brings up the map/system info. do that, make a note and then change maps , repeat and compare details. then make an informed decision about which one to use and which to archive.

I f both maps work, I would prefer to use the larger Western &Central Europe. unless of course you have no desire to go to central Europe. if so, cut and paste the whole folder to your computer.
