Hi

I've been watching a thread (TT3 Routing Oddities) on the Tom Tom Forum and was interested to read the comments regarding the quality of routing information on the Isle of Wight. As we intend to go there in September, I'm curious if any Navman users have come across similar problems Question , bearing in mind both Tom Tom & Navman use TeleAtlas Maps.

Regards

Hi there mburton2

Thanks for your reply.

Accept my apologies as I might be confusing you Exclamation You will see I use a Navman iCN630 V2 + SP1 & 2 .

My original query came up because I was watching a Tom Tom thread which comments about TT3 Routing Oddities on the IOW. My interest in this was because we are going to the IOW in September I wanted to know if there were any Navman users who had actually used the latest version of Software there and if they had experienced any problems Question

I must admit I thought from your answer that you were using Navman Software Thumbs Up

Well Exclamation Exclamation nobody else came back to me on this one except mburton2 so I assumed that there were no " Routing Oddities " using Navman on the IOW. At the end of September we went across on the ferry from Lymington to Yarmouth. Once in Yarmouth, I called up our destination from the Favourites menu and we set off. The drive to our hotel, which was on the opposite side of the island, went with no problems at all. We stayed a week and I can honestly say that the iCN630 didn't fail us once, I covered about 300 miles which for an island as small as it is I don't suppose is bad Question . Yeah Exclamation there were times when it wanted to direct us down cart tracks about 6' wide but you just ignore those and carry on, it soon gets you back on track.

Admittedly the state of the roads leaves a lot to be desired, but then the roads around here are as bad Laughing .
