where is the file kept that shows the 'WARNING disclaimer'
every time you boot the 2599 ?

Can this wording be changed ?[/u]

Not easily, I believe there's a patch that may allow you to remove it but it's not simple and there's no guarantee it won't brick your nuvi. I don't think it allows you to change it though.

I can understand why you might want to get rid of it, but just change the wording? Why on earth would you want to do that?

I read in another topic in this forum from another op that he re-worded it and put his name and address
I think he had a 670
I think he changed an image

it sounded like fun...... to change the wording

I think putting your address on a portable Satnav is risky. You've given your address to someone who knows your out.

There is a method of adding a splash screen - with a mobile number or similar. You may find it somewhere on this temporary site https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/17659207/GARMIN.TnT/index.html or search for
