Garmin 2699 voice pack

Hi All, could anyone please help me?

I can’t get the voice pack to work with my Garmin 2699 that I bought early October. If I download WAV, voice pack it will not transfer and says it can’t convert. If I use MP3, everything seems to load correct but I get no voice. I read on the forums that a SOX.exe could be missing. Can anyone please tell me what that is and where to look to find it. Is it anything to do with the Garmin unit or the Garmin POI loader / GPX converter that I downloaded when I got the unit? If it is missing, how do I get it loaded? Perhaps its something I missed and should have downloaded when I got the unit. I did notice something strange the other night, the alert came on after passing a camera, perhaps I should download the database again and check the settings on the converter and loader.

Firstly, if your unit has no MP3 player it cannot use MP3 sound files.
You are correct it's sox.exe missing. The error message that you are getting
"If I download WAV, voice pack it will not transfer and says it can’t convert"
Is a sure sign that you haven't got sox.exe in the Garmin POI Loader folder.
