I've been using Cameralert for years, great app.
But just got a new mobile running Android 5.1 & it just keeps saying its not compatible.
It's a GPS phone and Tomtom Sat Nav & Navmii and other speed camera apps works perfect, got Tomtom speed cameras and softbooms speed camera working but I much prefer Cameralert.
Should it work on Android 5.1 Lollipop?
Any ideas?
The version I'm trying to install is CamerAlert.Android.601.
The mobile is a Cubot X12 bog standard generic mobile.
Thanks in advance |

I'm no expert on mobiles with Android, but I am running CamAlert on a Nexus 7 Tablet running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with no issues at all, so I suspect it's not Android that is the problem, but perhaps something n your phone settings. |

Google themselves decide what is compatible... I've been told before that app's aren't compatible but then later they are (without any change to the app).
It could be that Google don't recognise that device or don't have full info about it and assumes it can't run CamerAlert.

"As a temporary workaround, Google suggests clearing Google Play Store's data from your phone and then trying to install Instagram. To do this, go to Settings > Application Manager > All > Google Play Store > Clear data." |

If you still have your old phone, you can create a backup of the CA app and make a APK file. Copy to your new phone and allow installation from untrusted sources in your security settings. You may find it installs then and you can add your account information as per usual new install. _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe |
