Tragic Irony As Biker Crashes Into Speed Camera Sign

43 year old biker Martin Thompson was killed when he crashed into a speed camera warning signpost.

Police think that Martin was travelling at 82 mph when the crash happened in Talke, Staffordshire last September.

He was overtaking a 60 mph line of traffic when a car in front of him also moved to overtake. He consequently lost control of his Yamaha bike, sliding across the road and up the kerb.

Then, with the most tragic of ironies, he crashed into a speed camera sign. It is thought that Mr Thompson died instantly.
