Is there any way to get TomTom to give audio traffic alerts via the Sony FordSync bluetooth without switching the radio off? Otherwise is there anyway to get it to use the iPhone internal speaker even while it's connected via BT to FordSync (which I obviously need in order to receive voice calls).

Although with Sygic but possibly same with TomTom, The only way I can get voice from phone satnav is by streaming music from phone to ford Bluetooth, sometimes nothing not even on phone, problem not resolved yet due to cold weather.

It seems I can answer my own question:

I found no way to get TT to send the traffic alerts via BT and for these to be heard without switching the car radio over to Aux mode (which loses the radio).

But I did find how to force TT to use the iPhone speaker. YOu would expect this to be in Settings but it's hidden away. YOu have to press the bottom left of the screen to bring up the volume control and then press the icon on the right of the volume control. This change does not stick so it has to be done each time you get in the car and connect to BT.
