As usual the sound warnings disappeared. Sometimes you never get them on a whole journey and on others it works for about half an hour then disappears even though you get the visual alerts with speed warnings for all the cameras - not much use in my case as I need the sound warning. Once and only once have I had the whole system working for a full 2 hour trip. Both have the latest database downloaded today, all the volumes turned up, closed and opened the app, closed the app and restarted the phones all to no avail. These problems mean it can not be relied on. Also, even though the phones are the same (Samsung S3 mini) they weren't always giving the same warnings (when they both worked). Also, on one phone could not get a signal all the way back home. It makes no difference if the data roaming is on or off. I feel I've wasted a subscription unless I can get the app working properly with the phones. I read on a November thread someone who could not rely on the sound function with a different phone. Any ideas welcome.

I have asked for my subscription to be transferred to my son. I am not the only person with this problem as there is another similar thread with an S3 mini and intermittent sound. Shame it doesn't work.

I am having the same problem with my new Nexus 5 running 5.0.1. Picks up some cameras but misses most & reports some that are not on the database. Seems to make a some difference if you stop & restart both a apps but difficult to tie down. I have been using the database since it first came out, recently with IOS on an Apple ipod touch with no problems.

Has anyone experience on the TomTom speed camera database or other apps to TomTom on the database.
