In and around Romford the digital style Traffic Light Cameras now have road markings as those for speed cameras. Are these now duel purpose, Traffic Light and Speed Cameras or are the markings purely to confirm the spoeed at which a driver has crossed a red light. If they are duel purpose is this a new catagory that you should consider

We already have that category and call it redspeed. (a long time before the 'Redspeed' manufacturer.)
They are also called colloquially 'speed on green'.
report them as a change of type on the submission map. Very Happy

Just to clarify...

Firstly, as M8TJT says, we already have this type of camera in the database - they're called Redspeed and they appear on the submission map with their own icon.

HOWEVER... when you download the database, these cameras are combined into the "fixed camera" categories (for each speed if you opted for the speed-zoned version).

It was decided it would cause more trouble than it was worth to keep them separate. For a start it would require yet another six or seven categories, and a lot of satnavs start to suffer and slow down with too many POI categories running.

I'd like to be able to have the dual icons if possible!

Not quite certain what you meant by "dual icons" but did you not read the post above your which explained why? But in case you didn't:

If you insist your own separate category then you'll need to write an Excel macro to separate them out using the internal id name.

Then you'll need to build your BMP icon and another WAV file with your required warning.

I'm basing that info on a Garmin CSV file, other units may be easier or more difficult.

I'm happy with them being a Gatso speed reminder because I don't do red lights.
