I've never found anything, but that's how it SHOULD be - the idea behind specs is to keep people below the limit (and if you've ever been there, working on the rodside can be very hairy, and something blasting past can be extra hairy). So if your average gets measured over the mark, it's because somewhere you've been going too fast and possibly putting roadworkers at risk. Stop it!

And what about the specs 'controlled' road works where there is no one actually road working? Who get's to be a scaredy cat then then?

I certainly get a bit worried driving within inches of those hue concrete blocks they use to cordon off roadworks.

Roadworkers are a bit like mobile cameras - never there when YOU drive past, but could be before and after. And they probably find it easier/safer to get into and out of (start/finish) their roadworks if the passing traffic isn't doing 77+mph. Smile
