Garmin nuvi 3597LMT speed camera database installation

I have just purchased the new garmin nuvi 3597 and was wondering if it was possible to install the PGPS speed cameras on it.

Do you just input the database via the POI loader as in my old garmin?

Has anyone tried doing it on this model yet as I am a bit wary of getting it wrong as it might invalid the warrenty.

Yes, it will be fine.

And no, it won't invalidate the warranty as the custom POI is a feature of the device so you are using it for purpose.

I have the 3598 LMT - D Halfords exclusive version (digital traffic is the only difference). I have the PGPSW speed cameras working on my Nuvi using Ash's Camera Manager program and Sox.exe to activate the .wav files.

Can confirm it all works using POILoader

Hi

1) The digital traffic works well - better than Garmin's previous traffic attempts and seems to be accurate from what I can tell. No traffic solution is perfect though. I have no idea how Tom Tom traffic works as I have only ever had Garmin.

2) Routing is no different to previous Garmin's I have owned. The route calculation and recalculation is very fast. I've not seen any bad reviews of this. The Garmin (Navteq) maps are updated every 3 months or so and all the main roads have pictorial junction views which makes navigating easy. The magnetic mount also works well.

3) I've never really used Tom Tom but the 2013 Garmin line is easy to use. I'd recommend viewing the online manual and reading it through as Garmin don't provide any literature in the box apart from a very basic "getting started" leaflet. This will give you many "hidden" tips that Garmin don't make immediately obvious.

Thanks kindly. Although I'm reluctant to move on from TomTom I think it might be time for a change. Biggest issue is getting familiar with the display so it's not too much of a distraction whilst driving. I find myself glancing occasionally to confirm difficult junctions although mostly I've come to rely on the voice instructions on TT now.
It's a bit like switching from Android to iPhone I guess... all pretty much do the same thing now but in a different flavour.
I see TT are bringing out some new devices later this year but I think they might be slightly behind the curve and I'm so sick of the TT Home program they came up with for the latest units. Thanks for the advice.
