A Polish registered lorry has become wedged in a narrow country lane in Devon with the driver claiming "The road was slippery and the trailer slid out and that was it, it was stuck".

He also blames his misfortune on a failed clutch, but This Is Plymouth seems to have put the blame firmly on the fact that he was following a sat nav.

The incident occurred on New Road in Bickleigh near Plymouth and a series of photographs on the This Is Plymouth website highlight the man's predicament, with one rescue vehicle having already failed to pull the lorry free.

well obviously the satnav is to blame - it seems to be the person/object in the vehicle with highest IQ in most of these incidents
