I have a HTC Wildfire S and have been using the CamerAlert App for over a year on the same phone. I have been downloading the latest database each week without any problems.

I have attempted to download the database several times this week without success, It is showing the following versions Server 10.121 (34031) and Device 10.114 (34000) which makes me suspect that it may have not updated correctly for some time and I have not noticed this before

It appears to download and then clean local database but the versions do not change.

When I go to the "Link User Account" page at the top it states:
Currently linked myusername

But the two boxes are asking for my user name and password, when I renter them is then says "Too many devices linked"

I have attempted the above also via my provider (Vodafone) and my home WiFi with the same results

Help Please!

Don't panic! From memory, there were only 4 downloads in November.

A feature of the latest version is :

- Added button on link account page so users can directly email support when they get a "too many devices linked" message

HTH!

First thing to check/try:

Under settings there is a development options tab, in there is a check box for ' "Don't keep activities" (destroy every activity as soon as user leaves it)'.

Ensure that this is NOT selected and then try the the database update.

If that doesn't work, uninstall the app and reinstall.

The user-name and password box are there for new installs or for users who wish to switch from a trial account to a subscriber account. As it shows your username at the top it is correctly linked.

If you have three devices installed already then the "Too many devices linked" error will be triggered if you try to link again.

If you have any issues re-installing and get the "Too many devices linked" error, log a support ticket here and we'll resolve it.

After trying all the advice I found my HTC low on ram, I resolved this by unloading SD Card and then reloading it. I have now managed to download the database.
Thanks for all the advice.
