What my picture above doesn't show is that it does offer re-routing.

I agree that it doesn't cover all roads, just those monitored by TrafficMaster.

However, I've noticed that RDS TMC does now seem to take note of 'reported' road problems and accidents. I know for fact that the A312 (in the shot above) north of the M4 is not covered by TrafficMaster cameras or beacons but if there is an accident or serious hold up it often shows it.

i always say if you dont like the product then dont pay for it.

I did that and am most happy.

I always found the HD traffic a bit hit amd miss and would sometimes not reroute me when there was such a easy diversion.

Example ( this still exists today )

London A13 at Stanford le Hope bypass.
Major roadworks there that lead to 15 min que going out of town, should this show on HD traffic ??? Yes i would have thought so.

An easy solution here to to take the previous exit and take the side road which runs along sid the A13 up to said exit and then proceed as normal.

HD traffic doesnt even show the delay...

Shocking

How long have the A13 roadworks been in place? Maybe as long as it takes for IQ Routes to take over and record an established 15 minute delay there? So the delay would be "normal" and not considered for re-routing?

I'm not a fan of IQ Routes, which is historical and, in my opinion, subject to that sort of distortion. Also, it shows no indication of comparison routing as in the A13 example.

roadworks started about 6 weeks ago..

However as of about 2 weeks ago between the hrs of 10am-4pm that reduce the road down to 1 lane in each direction....which casues about 15 min delay.

They reopen each lane at 4pm so not to affect the rush hour....but it doesnt really recover from the land closure until well after the rush hour,,,normally free flowing again at about 7pm.

TomTom doesnt show anything

I wonder if you gave the reason there. Are many cars going along parallel? If so, then the detection algorithm will probably not be able to tell the difference. Cars going really slowly will be detected, but because some cars are going at a fair speed "as normal", the fast ones will be assumed to be the norm. Slow traffic is probably statistically normal on many parts of the motorway.

Just a hypothesis...

Ok...I am sitting in said jam now.

My mate is driving and his 750 LIVE is reporting no delays.
Will try to post picture of device if I can work out how to do it.

Que for Stanford by pass is back to the previous exit ( orsett cock ) and I would estimate the que is 15 mins worth.

I am on the inside lane taking Orsett cock turnoff and traffic is queuing on the sliproad to roundabout.

A picture of the road with traffic might be useful too. Then we can compare with that on the electronic map.

Showing as a red delay jam with delay of 7 mins heading eastbound on TT traffic page! Got screenshot to prove it!
