None use it natively but you can add it to Sygic via iTunes. I think you can also add it to CoPilot and TomTom unofficially but that requires 3rd party software.

Worth pointing out unofficially does not mean illegally (ie without jailbreaking) you just use the diskaid app. There are instructions on the camera download section.

Does 'jailbreaking' imply a jail sentence for carrrying out illegal procedures then. I just assumed that it might make a warranty claim a bit touch and go rather than a jail sentence. Shocked Confused Twisted Evil

The term 'jailbreak' comes from the iOS software being like a prison - Apple decides what can come in and what can go out and what access anyone has. Jailbreaking merely removes that restriction so you have full access to the file system and can copy files to app's folders. There is nothing illegal about it and it will NOT invalidate your warranty. Doing a software restore from iTunes will put the non-jailbroken iOS back on the device and no one is any the wiser.

in so far as st1967's comment appears to imply that jailbreaking the iPhone is illegal and will thus result in a jail sentence if caught doing it Twisted Evil

Sorry didn't mean to confuse, although to act of Jailbreaking is not illegal unfortunately the main reason is to load apps usually "obtained" from the internet outside of the app store. You know the Long John Silver kind Rolling Eyes

Although it does allow pirated apps to be installed, it also allows apps to be installed that are developed by developers that either don't want to deal with Apple or that Apple don't want to deal with. The Cydia app store is perfectly legal and above board.

You get lots of pirated software on the internet. That doesn't mean that anyone with an internet connection is downloading pirated software.

I used to JB my iPhone 3G mainly so I could have custom ringtones for calls and messages as well as add a android-style notification bar. I also added a few things that allowed me to swipe the top corner of the screen to jump to settings etc. I didn't bother with pirated apps - I mean, 59p for a game? It's not worth pirating...

But anyway, we digress!
