Has anyone used this service ?
I want to know if it'll automatically re-route my
existing route if there's road constructions ahead
or I missed a turn or made a wrong turn.
My impression is that making a wrong turn can be
done via smarter software but doing auto-reroute
due to road constructions would require some
form of real-time info download from TomTom
which can be tricky unless TomTom has
real-time access to road condition data.

Yes, it will re-route if you miss a turn or are forced to take a detour for example. With 'Traffic' active it can be configured to automatically update the route to avoid traffic issues, accidents etc that would adversley affect your journey.
The 'Traffic' service is subscription based, requires a newer GO 300, 500 or 700 or Navigator for PocketPC or Mobile and access to a GPRS Data service. The Traffic data is obtained from iTIS who supply the UK's Traffic Message Channel (TMC) data feed. _________________ Darren Griffin

I have been using the Tomtom 500 for about a week now and i have found it to be the most reliable and accurate one i have used. the others being the navman ic520 which was prone to locking up and requiring a reset every so often and the goodmans gnav10 which was returned due to a speaker failure after only 3 months. I find the full postcode search option invaluable and it is very easy to use out of 10 i would give the Tomtom 500 9 as for the Tomtom plus services i dont believe that they would benefit me much as i always plan a second route just in case and there is always the find alternative button on the navigation screen
