Firmware Update 4.40 on nüvi 765T stalling/failing

Hi

I try to update my nüvi 765T to the latest firmware version 4.40, currently 4.30 is on the unit.

First it tried to update it during the map update to 2013.10 but said it failed.

Then I tried WebUpdater. Took some time to reach 16% and than failed with a message about communication issues with the garmin servers.

Next I went to the Dashboard on my.garmin.com and tried to update it that way. All other updates could be installed except the GCD File aka Firmware 4.40.

Does anybody know of a way to get it going?

BTW: There is no problem turning the unit off and on, it is working normally.

This sort of problem often occurs if your firewall or parental controls are blocking the download, also make sure you're connected directy to a USB port on your PC, not via a USB hub
