I don't have a Start, but the installation instructions for "TomTom GO 1000, 1005, VIA, Start 20, 25, 2000 series and variants (NAV3)", which I presume includes your model, seems to suggest that you have the "Settings / Manage POIs/ Warn when near POI" facility. _________________ Jock

Not so Jock... the Start 20 and 25 are VERY different beasts to the old Start and Start2.
The Start and Start2 are NAV2 models with very limited capabilities and the much-restricted "Easymenu" menu
mimran74 are you looking at the YELLOW section of the compatibility table where the Start is listed?
It says there you need to install a full custom menu to get the features back that are normally hidden on the Start
Links to instructions for that (and a video guide) are in the chart. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

An easier option than messing around with menu options is to simply add a pre-configured "MapSettings.cfg" file to the map folder along with the POI files, similar to the iPhone hack, if you do take the mapsettings.cfg file from the iPhone download make sure you rename it:
FROM "mapsettings.cfg"
TO "MapSettings.cfg"
(Without the "") - Mike |
